Terms of Trade

 

All new patient registrations (enrolling or regularly attending *Casual patients (*not entitled to the Government Subsidy). Your first appointment requires payment prior to consultation or service. The Charge for your first appointment is $98.

HillMed Health Centre does not hold patient accounts. Your payment is expected on the day of consultation or service. This charge applies to all patients aged >16 (including CSC holders) Without prior payment for your first consultation, your appointment may be cancelled.


Enrolled Patients: The Government subsidy available to your Doctor for your medical care will not be made available for up to 6 months from your date of your enrolment. As a mark of goodwill, the doctors at the HillMed Health Centre will charge newlyenrolling patients at an enrolled patient (subsidised) fee, after the first appointment (which is charged at the full nonsubsidised rate of $98)


Standard GP Consultation: A standard consultation is 15 minutes duration. During a standard consultation, the doctor may complete one complex or two simple matters. The doctor will advise you if multiple requests cannot be met within a standard 15 minute consultation, and deal with the most clinically urgent item at your initial appointment. Referrals and forms that cannot be completed within the 15 minute consultation will incur an additional administration charge. Your doctor will discuss this with you, prior to completion of any forms or paperwork. A GP Consultation for Community Service Card holders is subsidised. All other services and charges are not discounted for our CSC Holders, as no Government subsidies apply to other services.


Extended Consultations: An extended consultation is a 30 minute (double) appointment. If you request an extended consultation, this must be requested when booking your appointment. The charge for a double consultation is $145.


Non-attendance Fee: Failure to attend for your appointment or failure to cancel within one hour of your appointment time, may incur an administration charge of $40. This charge applies all ages and categories, as an administration fee for non-attendance.


Paper Statements: To reduce our carbon footprint HillMed Medical Centre sends out Text reminders for accounts outstanding. Text reminders showing an outstanding balance are generated monthly, at the start of each calendar month. Patients who do not have cell phones or have identified as No Text Messages (SMS), will continue to receive a paper statement of the outstanding balance at the start of each calendar month. *Full transactional paper statements are available on request.


Unpaid accounts of more than 60 days: Further routine medical attention* will be withheld pending payment / part payment of your outstanding balance. In the event that your account * (excludes urgent /acute medical attention, which we will continue to provide).


We welcome direct credit payments to our bank account: 06-0793-0367899-00 your name as a reference A regular Automatic payment set up through your bank is another option you may wish to organise to cover your medical costs.



The following payment methods of accepted for our enrolled patients: Cheques, Eftpos, Mastercard/Visa, Cash, Direct Bank Credit. We do not accept American Express.


The Commerce Commission now allows businesses to pass on Visa and MasterCard credit card transaction costs to customers who choose to pay by this method. The Doctors of HillMed Health Centre have opted NOT to pass on charges to our patients at the present time.
